Hi all
It seems that HPE has announced a new computer, that currently has 160 TB of memory and uses Armv8 CPU's.
The report claims that HPE won't sell this - but will use the things learned from making it to put into other products.
One thing that struck me was that this computer will scale to support a single memory capability of 4,096 yottabyes....
What's a yottabyte?
From the wiki: 1 YB = 1000^8 bytes = 10^24 bytes = 1000000000000000000000000 bytes = 1000 zettabytes = 1trillion terabytes

Now, THAT could be useful on BOINC

A bolster hammer and some WD40 ?
But even if you did, you'd probably need a massive upgrade to your house electricity supply...as I can't even comprehend how many amps you'd be drawing to power it all up

Hi Tim,
I suppose that might work
That's alright, I'm sure I can run it off solar cells
