Pentathlon Challenge 2024

This section is where you can post topics related to Challenges from other websites, such as Formula-BOINC, SETI-Germany and BOINCstats, as well as project challenges such as from WCG, PrimeGrid et al.

As a Team, we really want to engage as many team members with these challenges, as this gives us a great way of attracting more members to our Team...plus we get to show our strengths as a Team by (hopefully) doing well in each one.

PS: I have moved lots of topics into this section where they are relevant...as you can see, we've always been happy to take part in Challenges...and long may that continue ;-)

Pentathlon Challenge 2024

Post by UBT - Timbo »

Hi all

I just had this email sent to me, so I thought I'd share it :-)
Hi Tim, hi UK BOINC Team,

the last Pentathlon is already almost eleven months in the past, so it
is high time to look ahead. SETI.Germany invites to the 15th BOINC
Pentathlon https://www.seti-germany.de/boinc_pentathlon/, which will
start on 5 May and run for 14 days, as usual.

This year, the Marathon is back on the schedule. The obstacles that were
introduced two years ago and yield bonus points when being crossed are
not on the long track this time, but on one of the shorter tracks:
Steeplechase replaces Cross Country and will run for seven days, during
which two one-day obstacles yield a bonus between 20% and 50%. City Run,
Sprint, and Javelin Throw remain unchanged, the projects are now
universally announced 2-3 days prior to the start of each discipline.

The teams can sign up using the form at
https://www.seti-germany.de/boinc_penta ... eldung.php
until 2 May.
(I've already done this !!)

Do not hesitate and get your computers ready, because:

It will be exciting again at the BOINC Pentathlon!

Best regards
pschoefer
SETI.Germany
And unfortunately, it clashes on a few days of 2 future FB Sprints (on one day on 5th May and then on 4 days from 16th-19th May)

Any one fancy getting involved?

regards
Tim
