Welcome to the best team in the UK. May your stay be along one.
Need any help ? Then just ask there is always someone around to give advice.
Fancy a chat with fellow team members ?
The chat room at the top of the main forum page has the decorators in (been needed for some time).
So we have moved to MSN for a while.
Contact MELTER65 (Dave) through a PM as he is the key holder.
New comers must get the first round of drinks in, so get in early will be cheaper for you.....lol

Hi hi all, thanks for replies.
Don't think I need any help at the moment, but, having said that I may have missed something.
I am using the only pc I have, I just followed most of the set up tips, so I am pretty sure I have all 4 cores working and my gpu.
Does everyone just have the screen saver thing start it all up when the pc has been idle for however minutes? That is what I am doing at the moment anyway.

Or for the more adventurous (who could be considered reckless)... "if it ain't broke, make it go faster" (tribute to NA Ryan for that one) :lol:Pactor wrote:lol cool my kind of answer.UBT - Rick Horn wrote: Personally, I just run BOINC Manager on default settings.
As I hear a lot at work, "if it is working, LEAVE IT ALONE!"
Welcome to the team Pactor :D The GPU defiantly helps if it is attached to a project that is compatible with it.
Some GPU projects are:
* Collatz Conjure (ATI + Nvidia)
* Milkyway (ATI + Nvidia) - But double precision capable cards only :[
* SETI (Nvidia)
* GPUGrid (Nvidia) - GTX260 or higher needed i think
* DNETC (Ati + Nvidia)
At this current moment in time it seems the ATI cards 'tend' to run faster on the ATI enabled projects (although this could change).
Hope this is of help :)
