So for now I have a free service from Trend Micro came with the router, has anyone tried this, think I may buy it

If you don't mind throwing your money away on something you don't really need and just slows your system down, go right ahead...UBT - Halifax--lad wrote:Well I currently have 3 firewalls the router has 2, and then theres my normal firewall on my system.

Its been something I have been thinking of doing for a while changing to someone else the router just kind of spurred me on to finally doing it. It seems to have a lot of features built in, lots of buttons for me to clickUBT - PaulT wrote:You are at no more of a threat now than you were before going wireless.

What are you trying to hide?UBT - Halifax--lad wrote:Well I currently have 3 firewalls the router has 2, and then theres my normal firewall on my system.
You only need 1 firewall mate.
If you were a big multi national organisation with trade secrets to hide fair enougth, but for a home PC, I do think your going a bit too far
A router is a router, be it wired or wireless. By all means change your software if you have no confidence with your current setup, but £60 seems a bit much when you can get the same for nowt.UBT - Halifax-Lad wrote:Its been something I have been thinking of doing for a while changing to someone else the router just kind of spurred me on to finally doing it.
