Well I'm sure Doug will be glad to know I'm just downloading a WU right now.

Might as well help push us up the ranks, so who else is going to dip in and get some work :?:

We have 211 members even getting just a small number of us carrying on with this project should help push us up.

PS: Time to get some people to jump teams   :?:

Image Come on people

I've only got 25% of my resources on CPDN at the moment due to SAP, but once my SAP WUs finish I'll be around 90%

As my SAP WUs finish my resources will start to focus on CPDN again. I notice that we've dropped a place in the worldwide rankings today, because Phoenix Rising gained a substantial number of credits. However, we'll be back up the rankings in a few days, by overtaking SETI@Netherlands. As for the UK rankings, we're still slowly closing the gap on OcUK, but it's still a long way off, so the more members the better.

Well, perhaps a bit quicker than a few days! I notice that we've now overtaken SETI@Netherlands and are creeping up on BOINC@Austria. Well done everyone!

I have a couple of WUs suspended for now while a top 100 team place on WCG is in sight. Should get there within the next week then the CPDN WUs can be unleashed again, adds about 1000 credits/day when they are running

Hi y'all ...

I too am still running a SAP WU ..  so when that finishes,(still a couple of weeks off) my meagre contribution will go up by 50% or thereabouts.....

OK DJH, you got me!

Halifax and Froggi pushed me over to the CPDN side, so I have a WU in progress.

edit

Better make that two  :?

Profile Update

I notice that the CPDN profile index says -- Last updated 18 Oct 2006  !

and as of this moment, my profile doesn't show in the index...

bummer   :(

btw  I think my RAC is topping out...

I can't find the last updated of 18th October

But there is a delay in setting up your profile to it appearing in the profile pages, though I'm not sure how long. I've set mine up long since 18th October and it's in there.

Btw the link to your website is broken :( might want to have a look and fix it. And great RAC :D

Thanks, fixed the link..   ..      the RAC would better, but my ELCB keeps tripping out in the early hours of the morning...

Not good when the weather is chilly, as the Central heating goes off too !

Got (had) 1 running on each core, hope the other one avoids the problem as that is close to the same timestep now . Don't appear to lose any credits apart from between the trickles so no more than 14 hours worth but the wu will have to start from scratch again...bummer  CPDN's loss will be another projects gain

Ouch !

It's not any loss of credits (which is minimal), it's the waste of effort...

isn't the WU recoverable from the last trickle-up?

I think it is reissued from scratch but that is a guess

I had one that had run for 415 hours before crashing out - I think it only had 25 hours to go! It got reissued 10 seconds later!

CPDN 'coupled model' WUs can be restarted from the last 'restart dump' (1960, 2000, 2040), and the climate data will have been received at the server from the previous year's trickle.  So from the viewpoint of the project itself, not much is lost by a crash.  It's always more fulfilling to run it to the end, of course.

Seasonal Attribution Models must be run to the end since the trickle only contains a 'I'm still running' flag.  From the viewpoint of the project, a SAP crash means total loss of data.
