I am on my first WU for climateprediction, with only 0.064% completed, and a predicted 2139 hours crunching to do, however the second counter is actually incrementing about 4 or 5 seconds then dropping back to its start point, in essence I am not actually reducing the deficit.
I only have a low performance PC, and am unlikely to upgrade it.

Would it be beter to suspend and detach in the early stages, or should I persevere?  :?

just carry on its quiet likely the time will go down slowly but surely, CPDN is one for the long run, you should be fine with it
