Strange forum behaviour

Recently I've noticed that the 'new posts' indicators seem to be resetting globally when I read any post.
Today I found about 6 regular posters in an 'ignore' list.
Has the forum software been updated recently or is there some other explanation for these wierd phenomena?

Maybe you have just pushed ignore and not realised

Just been browsing some of the other forums and and
one of them is having a similar problem, which reminded me that I've had it as well!
Read 1 'unread' message and all previously 'unread' sections change to 'read' in the index.
Must be a phpBB bug that admins would have no control over.

No its a cookie problem is that just delete all your cookie on the computer and start over

Not that bothered about it - only happens occasionally anyway.

Could well be a cookie problem. Only seems to afect t'other machine.
Some of the bizarre symtons on there include:-
Ramdom users added to ignore list.
Tried to post a reply to a thread. typed in reply, hit submit, Straight to login display. Mesage lost.
Several threads added to a notify list. Now geting regular emails when someone posts,
Loss of the 'new messages' icon.
Auto log-out occurrring at random.
Very odd. Only seems to affect work machine. Will delete cookies from there see what happens.
