Intel and Microsoft plug into the Green Grid

Hi all,
Recent talk was that 10% of ALL US power consumption is used by "data centres" (i.e. the computers that power the web....).
Now this may be all stuff'n'nonsense, but there have been moves afoot to reduce the amount of power used in hosting centres....and with recent AMD and Intel CPU's now consuming less power and giving off less heat, so things are getting more efficient...
And now we have the latest news:
