On the bit under each post where the pm, friend buttons etc are, is there an email button visible ?

I can see it & I've been trying to get rid of it

nope,
All I see is - profile, friend, ignore, pm and www

although email is there on mine, so looks like you got rid of yours

I can't see your email though - each poster sees their own items eg. email/online status whether they are hidden or not.

I had my av and sig hidden to everyone for ages once because I could see them fine
