Member numbers

Not so much a BOINC issue rather a BOINCStats one.
With Willy messing around with the member listing our membership is more up and down than a wh**es knickers!

Approx 140 members joined today according to Boincstats, earlier on it was showing around 50 joining yesterday but it only shows 2 now...if only the 140 was real....it would keep the frog out of trouble giving them all a welcome message

Hi Mike,
Of course, Willy's changes to the BOINCstats sites will have far less of an effect, if team members only adopt the one team...
Biggest problem I can see is when a single member joins multiple teams....as Willy seems to have adopted the policy of using the team that the member has belonged to the longest, that then becomes the "principle" team upon which the new stats are based.
So, once again, it makes even more sense for members to ensure that they are crunching for just the one team, so that our membership is affected the least by this change....
Hopefully, once the changes "take" then they should stay constant for a while after that...! (or until Willy decides to mess with them again).

Or maybe not...
Is is because this weekend I fixed a long standing issue were users were assigned to a wrong team in the combined stats because they were a member of that wrong team in a minority of the projects. Now these users are moved to the correct team causing some of you to drop in ranking.
It's a one time thing, so don't worry of this happening again next week.
Which means we're nearly at 1500 members!
