Was just wondering if anyone would be interested in adopting a UBT Chat room

Would just be another means for the team to communicate in real time.

So who is interested, not interested? Ideas

I voted yes, but not very often, more for discussing specific things rather than bounce 10 messages . Could be handy occasionally though.

This has already been thought about and (until now) has been "put to one side", as Darren was spending time getting the forum working and "tweaked".

We have got a facility to do something along these lines. So, depending on the outcome of the poll you've created, will dictate when it gets switched on.

Personally, I'd love to have something along the lines of an IM group, which also supports webcams etc - and I was thinking along the lines of the birthday bash towards end of June - so those who cannot be at wherever the venue is, can "participate" via webcams....!

That's partly why I started the poll, as I want to see if it is of any use and then it can be sorted out/switched on etc etc

Edit: - The same chat room I came across the other day is compatible with the forum and is also sat there waiting to be activated by Dazza at some point. As the compatible chat server works off php it will auto login anyone coming to the chat room from this forum. Integrates quite nicely from what I have seen

So that's the main reason I started the poll, would be nice to have somewhere to drop in for a quick chat in real time as well as using the forum too.

Well, I would say the poll was a majority YES

So just need it adding at some point

I see we have a Chat room at the top of the page.  When I try to enter I get an Error 404 File not found page?  

Thats an old link Dazza has not got around to removing it yet, it was a security risk

The reason it is still there is because a fix has been put into place and it MAY return in the next couple of weeks.

I can get an updated version with everything fixed but lets face it, the last one was not overly popular.

Is it worth bring it back? Maybe a poll is needed. Over to you Halifax.....

Sorry for the lack of enthusiasm, really crap day at work.

Just bring it in if it does not take too long to install then it is there for anyone to use when they feel like it
