Couldn't find your exact cards but this might help

I have an ATI Radeon X700pro in this system.
And well it's ok, I doubt it could play any modern games, only thing I have played using it was Red Alert 2.
And anything above 1280x1024 freaks it out, I can't use my 22" widescreen monitor, as it has a native rez of 1680x1050, and making the card use that rez, makes the display fuzzy at heck :(

And it must be an old card, as the Windows XP x64 has drivers for it.
I think the x1650se is the better card (generation wise), but as for speed I have no idea, the x740xl could be faster, but has less features (i.e DX version, shader model version).

I'm more of an Nvidiot than a fanATIc ;)

If you wanted a gaming graphics card i would say go for the 8800GT, great card which gives the 8800GTX a run for it's money + is cheaper anyway.

If you aren't into gaming however it shouldn't matter to much what graphics card you use if it is just for casual web browsing, or dvd watching.

That's true the 8800GT is a darn good card.
Got a friend who has one, and at times his 8800GT beats my 8800GTX :?

Mind you start bumping up the screen rez and add AF & AS, then the GTX starts to win, but not by much!
And considering the price difference between 8800GT and 8800GTX (about £140), it not worth it.

That £140 can get ya other nice "toys", e.g a 22" widescreen monitor ;)
