I've got the fireproof suit on ready for the linux flames!

Been trying out the 'Release Candidate1'. As I didn't bother with Vista I'm easily impressed so far!

To encourage early adopters/testers Microsoft are offering an early release and cheaper price to those that want it - £49.99 for the Home Premium.

All very nice, thank you very much... but what's this when I was doing a Google?

£44.99? There's a price war going on and it isn't even out yet!

Just noticed that Comet don't have the option to selectr 32 or 64 bit versions.

Discuss!

I have tried the beta also and must say it gets my thumbs up. A hard lesson learnt by Microsoft i think (and an expensive one!)

Ah-ha If I read this right it seems like the DVD will have both 32 and 64 bit versions on it...
How do I get a 64-bit copy of Windows 7?

The Upgrade and Full packaged retail product of Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Professional, and Windows 7 Ultimate will come with both 32-bit and 64-bit DVDs. With Windows Vista, the 64-bit version was only available with Windows Vista Ultimate. Due to the incredible adoption of 64-bit today and customer feedback, we decided to change this for Windows 7. Now all copies of Windows 7 in developed markets will ship with both 32-bit and 64-bit DVDs.
