I see no reason why not
Same console, just improvements in design, and power management. Still features the same features such as Blu-ray and a very fast CPU. All we need now is a PS3 with a few ATI gpu's in it

according to the guys at work, Sony have disabled the ability to boot linux, so unless they've added boinc support to the desktop (like folding@home) it won't boinc

Yep it still has blu-ray as that is what the PS3 games are designed for. :D

Got the beast running and on the 'tinternet through the wireless router. Will have to wait until Santa officially brings it on Xmas day to try it out properly!
