There is another new project at http://cah.tcm.phy.cam.ac.uk/index.php

QuantumFIRE alpha is a research project that invites the public to donate computing power for scientific research in Quantum Foundations, Solid State Physics and Quantum Chemistry. You can participate by downloading and running a free program on your computer.

QuantumFIRE alpha is based at the TCM group in the Cavendish Laboratory, University of Cambridge, UK.

So a new UK Project, and there is work.

Nice find guys, I am in but this is on the front page !!
QuantumFIRE alpha online!
March 5, 2010
The number of participating volunteers will be limited while we are in alpha stage, but there will be no limit anymore as soon as QuantumFIRE is officially released.
This project could possibly be restricted in numbers so you should get on board ASAP !

I tried one. It ran for 1.5 hours, and gave me 83 credits. (Windows Vista 2.4GHz. 32 bit.)

I've had 2 finish on an i7, 64bit. Both took just over 8 hours and each got around 250.

It's not going to replace Aqua in a hurry!

Mmmm decisions decisions, do we stick with Aqua and go for the BIG numbers or fight for places on Alpha projects? I am happy to put a couple of PC's on this until the next PG challenge, any one else want to have a go?

I'm doing these on the lappy at the moment, but I'm willing to go 'all out' on the quad as well, if we want to try and get back above TE(B) :D
