I have added a link to tghen top of the page called
Projects News
this shows the latest 5 bits of news for most of the projects. Some do not output dates so they are listed in the same order as they export them.
It should update every hour at about 10 to the hour.

Ok I'm having a blond moment (not too hard for this redhead) but I honestly don't get what the link is supposed to do.
When I click it nothing happens. Theoretically it sh/would have updated at 20:50 and there should be something but I get nothing
Is it because I'm using subSilver?

Nope it works on both styles, it just displays the latest news from the projects RSS feeds

Where? Does one have to have RSS enabled?
On a slight tangent why are the forum titles a clickable link which is the forum link?
ie: in Team News the title is clickable to http://ubtforum.icandothis.co.uk/viewforum.php?f=1 which is the forum.
{Deity}!! Talk about going round in circles but I dunno exactly how else to explain it.

Also wouldn't it be an idea to have the link on the index page?

Where it says Team News near where you log in or for us on the other style right at the top Projects News
The links on forums are clickable to enable the user to get back to either the main board or the forum they were previously in

Ok on each forum it says the forum title ie "Team News" (underneath it says "Moderators: none"). If you click the forum title you don't go anywhere because the link is
http://ubtforum.icandothis.co.uk/viewforum.php?f=1 which is the forum.
Clearer? Probably not

I will not come over to the dar - oops - blue side.
Hell you lot want to think yourselves lucky that I didn't ask Darren if we could have a cute, pretty, very girly pink theme.
Actually that's vomit-inducing.
I want black, black * and more black

It don't work like that the theme comes like that.
If the file icon is open you know there is a new message, if the file is shut you know there is no unread messages

Possibly dumb question - is it possible to somehow highlight which projects have new news or put all the news for a certain date together?

Get a RSS Reader there great and you can add feeds from all kinds of websites, really functional and easy to use, can tell at a glance if there is any new RSS Feeds
I use
RSS Reader
