UK BOINC Team Forum

Hi all,

I've updated the main "front page" on the Team website to reflect our UK rankings on each project.

See:

As you can see, we're the #1 Team on 7 projects, #2 on 11, #3 on 4, #4 on 2 and sadly, bringing up the rear, #10 on BBC CCE !!!

I'll try and keep the above page updated manually, but the good news is that our "standing" within the BOINC community is even more assured.


Let's hope the floodgates open and our Total Team membership "count" increases - the hope was always that we would attain at least 1,000 members, in order to have some "gravitas". Think we're now well on the way to achieving this, possibly this year !

Nice to see everything at a glance.

I have noticed, however, it's not as easy to get to the 'catching up' pages anymore - especially the number one target (You have to select 'catching up menu', then select target 2, 3 or 4 before you can select it from the right pane. Any chance or re-arranging the left pane to get targets 1, 2, 3 and 4 as before?

any sometimes the frames sulk and refuse to load anything at all, you have to exit the website come back & try again

The server issue is almost sorted - had good connectivity this last 12 hours since the fixes were put in place. Sorry for any inconvenience.

On the catching up pages, there's FOUR sections:

1) Catching up on particular projects

2) UK rankings

3) World Rankings

4) Members joining...etc



As targets #2-4 (actually #2-5 now) are all to do with specific projects, they are under section 1

As target #1 is to do with our ranking in the world, so it's under section 3.


Have to admit, before the tidy up, the catch up links were on a number of pages which made it tricky to update each one. Now they are in one place, which make sit easier to update, but they can be reached from most pages (which helps getting to it to see easier).

Would it help if I made them bigger - so you can see them more clearly?

Alternatively do what I do just save the link to the catching up stats into your favourites and hey presto you can't get to all of them through one click and a glance

Ah found it - 1st target hidden way down after 5th target - There's logic in there somewhere cap'n!

Yup, the 1st target is so-called as it was the 1st target we had (in this current "batch").

And now we have a 5th target, but we've actually achieved the 4th target.
So shall I re-number - or call them something else, (like "Gladys Emmanuel"??)

Or start again?

Oooh eck, getting tricky - have to make some decisions !!
