New Year, New Team Crunches
Well its getting closer to 2007, I'm sure there will be plenty of people who wish to get the 1st Team Crunch of 2007 out of the way and set us on track to have the all the more regularly
So time to discuss what project we want to do as a team and for how long, maybe a weekend or a week who knows.
I think the projects we should try and focus on for crunches are the ones we still need to get into number 1 position for.
Our Sneaky Club has taken care of some projects and I'm sure will continue on been successful.
So then poll time, I'm going to list all the projects we are not number 1 in. I can't see us ever going for a CPDN crunch but its included any way seen as though its a team decision, theres a couple of others that prob won't make it until they sort there credit problems out and other various reasons etc etc.
PS: If members want other projects adding to the poll I will soon alter it, just thought it would be good to work on the UK number 1 spots.
Poll runs for 14 days, any one want any changes to the poll So vote up until 14 Jan 07

As Einstein appear to be having frequent problems over the last few days
Einstein@Home STATUS
[Last update: Mon Jan 1 18:40:12 UTC 2007]
Einstein@Home will be offline until further notice.
The main file server has failed once again. At this time we do not know
how serious the problem is. The project may be down for a couple of days
until a temporary replacement fileserver can be put in place.
More news will be posted here as it becomes available.
Thank you,
David Hammer
perhaps whatever is second choice should be put on standby

Hi Rick,UBT - Rick Horn wrote:I agree, Einstein always has work and is quite generous with it`s credit, so it`s good for the team in general.
Think we need to edit your posting....
I agree, Einstein NEARLY always has work
And if it's now offline, and not coming back soon, then a back-up project needs to be considered. Maybe the 2nd placed project in the poll should be considered?
regards
Tim

It was a left-hand not knowing what the right-hand is doing type of situation (lack of communication). Hopefully once they get into the rhythm of doing it things will start working better. Actually it's now changed - because the Einstein fileserver is broken, it's now uFluids, the third choice! <grins>Gary wrote:Perhaps their team works on a US style democracyUBT - Halifax--lad wrote:That doesn't make much senseMikeMarsUK wrote:Synergy's January project is Einstein (despite more votes to continue with WCG)
Your exactly right (Or left ? ). I do believe we have a handle on things now. Although as I've mentioned elsewhere, Its obviously still in its infancy as of now.MikeMarsUK wrote:It was a left-hand not knowing what the right-hand is doing type of situation (lack of communication). My personal choice would be for a weekend, but as I haven't done any Einstein for a looong time a week long would be fine as well. SETI-Astropulse not bothered.UBT - Halifax--lad wrote:OK, well it looks like Einstein will more than likely be the project we do. Still more time yet for people to submit there choice though.
So next choice is weekend or week long
Now then is Einstein working today?
No - ho hum....
