I see that James Drews has decided to throw in the towel on Boinc Combined Statistics. I found that site very useful for getting user project ID's etc. I hope there are no other sites dependent on this creating an avalanche effect, it was deigned as an aggregator.

TBH, I didn't even know that site existed

But with the reduction in the number of active BOINC projects, plus the obvious reduction in the number of active users, and relatively poor "marketing" of BOINC as a useful volunteer resource to assist multiple projects, I am not that surprised.
Our own UBT stats site bit the bullet sometime ago, and various others have been in decline for a few years now - even the "classic" BOINCstats website (which I found to be much more useful, in terms of viewing the stats in various ways) has gone and the newer BS site is not as informative (IMHO).
I guess that BOINC will eventually become out of date, and might only support a handful of projects that have the core funding to continue operating, and assuming their work units are still relevant to their research.
