There is a recognition that the demotion is likely to upset the public, who have become accustomed to a particular view of the Solar System.

Pluto's done nothing wrong!

Pluto is innocent!

I demand they reinstate Pluto to proper planet! My science teacher said it was the ninth planet so there!
