The Material World

This Radio show has recorded 3 programs from 3 different Open University Summer Schools the 1st one is from Heriot-Watt University and gives an insight into what it is like studying with the OU.

Just click on the link to listen to the latest show, next weeks is from Sussex University recorded the same week I was there, I didn't go to it though was sat on a banking with others drinking in the sun instead.

Not sure where the 3rd one was recorded can't recall now

I did a couple of OU summer schools at York back in the '70's, they were really interesting. There were long hours and lots of work, but the cameraderie among the students was something not to be missed. I heard one of the radio programmes by chance, I didn't realise it was part of a series and missed the rest.
I am dissapointed to report that I didn't finish my OU degree, although I really enjoyed the courses that I did. Eventually fitting in the study while working full time and having a growing family got to be too much for me....I keep thinking I should go back to it, I wonder how long the credits I've earned so far will be valid for?
